🗺️ Day 1: Arrive Madurai | Pick-up from Madurai airport or Junction station. Check in and rest. Late afternoon visit to the Meenakshi Amman Temple — go for the evening, when the gopurams light up and the crowds thin. Note the temple shuts between roughly 12:30pm and 4:00pm, so a midday arrival means waiting. If time allows, Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal is a fifteen-minute walk away. Overnight in Madurai. Day 2: Madurai to Rameswaram | After breakfast, drive to Rameswaram — around 170 km, four hours. You cross the Pamban Bridge onto the island, which is the single best view of the trip; ask the driver to slow down. Afternoon at the Ramanathaswamy Temple, famous for its 22 sacred wells and the longest temple corridor in India. Evening at Dhanushkodi, the town the 1964 cyclone erased — the road runs right to the tip now. Overnight in Rameswaram. Day 3: Rameswaram to Kanyakumari | The long driving day: roughly 300 km, six to seven hours via Ramanathapuram and Tirunelveli. Break the journey with lunch en route. Arrive Kanyakumari by late afternoon, in time for sunset at the southern tip — where the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean meet. Overnight in Kanyakumari. Day 4: Kanyakumari to Kovalam | Early start for sunrise over the three seas — this is the reason people come here, and it is worth the alarm. After breakfast, take the ferry to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and see the 133-ft Thiruvalluvar Statue beside it. Ferry queues build fast after 9am. Then drive on to Kovalam — around 90 km, two and a half hours, crossing into Kerala. Evening free on Lighthouse Beach. Overnight in Kovalam. Day 5: Kovalam and departure | A slow morning on the beach. Optional detour to Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum, 16 km away — dress code is strictly enforced and entry is restricted to Hindus. Transfer to Trivandrum airport, 15 km from the hotel, for your onward flight. Tour ends.
